I was gonna post this in the new pick up thread but it seems to have been deleted. I just grabbed this today. I consider myself very lucky to own this beautiful piece of art, actually the first one of these gardens he made.

What's up everyone? Ghost and I (Gordon) got together this year to start a new tube company....Evol Empire. We have been trying to come up with new and innovative designs. Just wanted to post some of the glass Ghost and I have been doing.

I went into an LHS where I know a few people (family) and they had picked up quite a few "Boom" pieces. I know the owners are always really good at predicting the market. They had things like the swiss perc before I had ever seen them online. Anyways, all of the Boom pieces were really high quality blowing although some of them are quite tacky with horizontal lines etched around the circumference and lots of width changes throughout the tube. The percs seem very functional despite the huge volume of most of the tubes. There was one piece that really caught my eye. It was a <50mm bore at the bottom with a diffused down stem to a really pretty 8 arm tree with a 20 or so mm bent neck up top. I was just wondering what you guys think about this guy and the glass because I'm thinking about picking up that piece for under 200.

Some of the ideas aren't incredibly original but to me they're priced really well considering the functionality.

I had my friends nail and dome set(boro nail) I was using for a few days and it was cool but it was kind of annoying to have all those pieces. He said he likes his MTP birdhouse a lot better, so i went into the shop he works at and grabbed one of the birdhouses. I personally haven't used a skillet yet, So I can't speak for that but I have to say after picking up a birdhouse I'm surprised people even bother fiddling with adapters nails and domes when they can just have the 1 piece. Ben also has the flying saucer, which looks cool, but I haven't tried that either.

What do you guys prefer to dab from and why?

Smooth?

What does smooth mean to everyone? The resistance on the pull or coolness of the smoke? I can't chunk a rock without hitting someone that wants his tube to be smooth, but that's always seemed so elementary to me.

Whenever I hear someone blathering about 'smooth' it's usually a kid who hasn't looked too far into anything in a realistic fashion. It's just so vague that what's described as smooth could be like 3 or 4 different factors that really matter when categorizing tubes, but get immediately over looked when the general assumption 'that's smooth' is put in place.

I guess I just see it thrown around far too much, and it usually seems ignorant to me. Someone please tell me I'm wrong but why do all these tubes and bubs that have nothing to do with each other always get thrown together comparatively? There has to be a more accurate way to convey what is being considered.

Didn't mean for that to be a rant, don't take it as such :hippie:, I just think if the word is thrown out so much it would be beneficial to give it some value.

For you concentrate guys out there american "pyrex cookware" is no longer and hasn't been since 2000 made from boro. They are now making it from sodalime (soft glass) and the consumer reports are showing why this was a bad idea lots of people having the newer glass explode and or break from adding warm/hot water due to thermal shock. Time to go hustle the vintage/thrift stores for vintage pyrex.

I Really want to see a video. I've seen vids of the circ to 10 arm but I'm really interested in the new ones. I've been dying for a stem/8 but the odds of even being able to purchase one are slim to none and these are like 200$ cheaper. Can anyone chime in on the new VG?

I picked up this bat in the city, It definitely looks like some Fro style, but what do you think the chances are its actually one of his pieces?
