I know pizzle protects his patinas and plating making any iso or cleaning product not a threat of any sort as I understood.

I've also heard though that you don't want the iso or cleaning products to come in contact with the plating or patinas period.

Im more curious if anyone has any experience with Snic or Slings plating especially as I've recently acquired a collab by them, which I'd think Snic definitely did the boro work and sling possibly plated and "stamped" the mayan but either way its that typical fyc plating with green patina here and there.

There will be a Two day class with these three artist. This class will cover the basic steps that it takes to melt Borosilicate glass in a furnace. We will cover safety when using the boro furnaces. We will also melt some glass and talk about what is going on in the furnace when the glass is being melted. We will also go over how to replace elements and also the best way to take care of your equipment so you get the most out of your equipment. We will have Skutt furnaces. We will be dipping out of the pots and trying to explain the process to make the best tubing and rod you can with the least amount of waste. This class will be short but I think you will get the basic idea of how the process works. Understanding the costs involved in melting BORO will be the challenge for all that are getting ready to buy or use a furnace to dip boro. We will also have info about crucibles and tools that will help you with the least amount of cost and waste. This class will be fun for all involved. We will also have furnaces for sale at a special class price. We look forward to seeing you there to take advantage of this class, if you have any questions about the class feel free to call.
